St Laurence is located in the heart of Reading Town Center and just a short stroll from the Reading Train Station. This beautiful 900 year old building has been wonderfully modernised inside to include a fast wood laminate floor that will be a real treat to dance on.
There’s no bar or BYO at this venue but we will be keeping you hydrated with cold beverages as well as cakes and snacks throughout the evening to fuel your happy feets!

Saturday Late Night
Watlington House Community Hall
After the Ball we’ll be taking a leisurely 10min walk over to Watlington House Community Hall, to continue the party into the wee hours of the morning. Expect a chilled out and cozy blues vibe to keep you dancing throughout the night.
The Community Hall is another thriving community hub that supports many local groups including Reading’s own swing scene with Reading Swing Jam and All Jazzed Up making the most of this venue’s smooth floor, and we’re glad to be supporting this local gem again this year!

After a much needed lie-in, we’ll be returning to St Luke’s Church for Sunday’s Tea Dance, the penultimate event of RSX 2019.
Join us for live music from the Silver Heels as we enjoy refreshing hot beverages and all the cake! Weather permitting we’ll also have access to the Community Garden.
We’re also delighted to have Express Mobile Spa pampering our guests again at our Sunday Tea Dance. They were super popular at last year’s event, offering seated head, neck and shoulders massage and relaxing foot massage to tired dancers. What a fabulous way to treat yourself for a weekend of dancing well done and refresh yourself for the final event!
PRICES: 10 minute massage just £10 and 20 minutes only £15! Sign up on the day, first come first served. Cash and card accepted.

FAREWELL BLUES JAM
The Global Cafe
Reading Swing Exchange 2018 will be winding down with our Farewell Blues Jam at the Global Cafe. It’s the perfect place to top up those pre-travel appetites with a BYO meal (we highly recommend Bakery House Lebanese over the road) and last dances as we say goodbye to old friends and new.
The Global Cafe is a treasured local community hub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a great selection of Fairtrade drinks and snacks.
