Heather’s got her red shoes on and ready to get the RSX party started! Guaranteed to get you into the swing of things, Heather is a multi-talented musician and vocalist and forms part of one of Berkshire’s finest five-piece jazz, swing and blues bands.
THE REBOP REBELS
RSX Ball – Saturday Night
Led by William Keel-Stocker, the Rebop Rebels will be performing for your dancing pleasure at our main event, the RSX Ball. Will’s gathered some of the best swing jazz musicians in the business and they’ll be filling the air of St Laurence’s Church with music made for dancing! Dust off that vintage finery, you won’t want to miss this gig!
MA BESSIE DUO
Blues Jam – Saturday Late-Night
Back by popular demand, the Ma Bessie Duo will be performing for our RSX Ball after party late Saturday night and into the wee hours of Sunday morning. Join us at the Blues Jam for a mix of classic blues and jazz tunes from the inter-war years and a selection of original songs from this local Reading gem.
THE SILVER HEELS
RSX Tea Dance – Sunday Afternoon
Back by popular demand, local favourites The Silver Heels will be performing once again at RSX!
The Silver Heels was formed a few years ago by some of Reading’s finest musicians who love playing jazz, swing and Charleston music with exuberance and abandon for people who love to dance… with exuberance and abandon! Get a sneak peak here.
FAREWELL BLUES JAM
The Global Cafe
Time to relax and unwind with friends old and new. The Global Cafe will be our farewell point for this year’s Exchange. You’re welcome to BYO food and the bar will be serving it’s usual great selection of Fairtrade drinks and snacks all accompanied by a healthy portion of chilled out Blues served up by our RSX DJs.
